Welcome to StandWatch America

StandWatch America is a 501(c)(4) social welfare nonprofit organization focused on strengthening the role that veterans and their supporters play in building better communities.  Very simply, we have two objectives:

  • Help any veteran who wants to develop programs that encourage civic participation
  • Build a coalition of veterans to support any candidate who can think innovatively about improving economic, educational, and business opportunities for all people.

What We Believe

We strongly believe that most of the solutions to today’s challenges can be found in our communities by everyday people who live and work on main street. Like a majority of veterans across the United States, we also believe that most of these problems can be solved by using common sense conservative values. Specifically, we are looking to support candidates who strive to:

  • Improve economic opportunity
  • Think innovatively about how we educate our children
  • Seek ways to create entrepreneurial opportunities across rural areas and small towns
  • Reduce the burden of regulations and taxes
  • Speak clearly about their beliefs while trying to move the state forward without political grandstanding

How Are We Going to Get There?

Advocacy and political engagement is an involved process and we are jumping in with both feet. Trying to build a coalition of 151,000 people will be challenging so, in the same way our 501c3, StandWatch.org, works with any veteran who wants to develop community improvement programs, StandWatch America will constantly seek partnerships and alliances with other veteran groups, business groups, and educational reform groups to reach our common goals. Our strategy will be to coalesce veterans around key issues and ballot initiatives through:

  • Get out the vote campaigns
  • Special events where veterans and key influencers can meet and develop ways to work together
  • Service projects that bring veterans and community members together to affect real change
  • Issue briefs
  • Training in social media, outreach initiatives, press relations, and campaign organization
  • Research
